FICCI FLO Lucknow Celebrates ‘Change of Guard’ Ceremony for 2026–27
Lucknow, April 6, 2026 – The FICCI FLO Lucknow Chapter celebrated its ‘Change of Guard’ ceremony, inducting Simran Sahni as its 12th Chairperson for the 2026–27 term. The highlight of the evening was an inspirational session featuring Dr. Kiran Bedi. With her commanding presence and powerful storytelling style, she shared profound lessons drawn from her own journey—a journey defined by discipline, leadership, and perseverance.
Pooja Garg, the 43rd National President of FICCI FLO, graced the occasion as the ‘Guest of Honour’.

The outgoing Chairperson, Vandita Agarwal, handed over the baton of responsibility to the new leadership team, introducing its members to the gathering.
Women are innate managers—whether at home, in the office, or in any other sphere—and are perfectly suited for roles in governance and administration.
“Women must be accessible and visible; they should not succumb to pressure but rather focus on finding solutions and always be ready to move forward. The objective of feminism is not to further empower women—for they are already empowered—but rather to change the world’s perspective on how it views this inherent power of women,” stated Dr. Kiran Bedi, former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry and the ‘Super Cop’, during an interactive session with Simran Sahni and Devanshi Seth. The event was organized by the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) at the Hotel Taj in Lucknow. FICCI FLO serves as the apex body for women entrepreneurs in the country. “I wanted to connect with people, and it was this very desire that inspired me to join the police service. During my five-year tenure as the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, I modified several of my habits and implemented numerous new ideas, which enabled me to provide exceptional leadership while holding this public office.”

A key highlight of the program was the launch of ‘Radio Parwaz’ at Lucknow Jail—an initiative by the ‘India Vision Foundation’ that now reaches approximately 3,100 inmates. FLO also announced its support for the education of 10 inmates’ children, thereby further strengthening its commitment to social impact.
The ‘Apollo Privilege Card’ was also unveiled during the evening. This is a thoughtful initiative launched by FLO Lucknow’s ‘Health Vertical’ in collaboration with ‘ApolloMedics Hospitals,’ aimed at making quality healthcare more accessible and empowering for its members.
With a fresh perspective, FLO Lucknow is entering its 12th year and will continue to focus its efforts on leadership, empowerment, and community impact. The event was organized as an eco-friendly initiative, incorporating measures to minimize the use of plastic.
